We are looking for an experienced Senior Capital Projects Construction Manager to join our Estates Design & Technical Services (EDTS) team at Berkshir...

o Lead the delivery of capital construction and infrastructure projects across the Trust estateo Manage projects through all RIBA stages from feasibility to commissioning and handovero Prepare feasibility studies, specifications, technical drawings, reports and cost estimateso Procure and manage contractors and consultants in accordance with Standing Financial Instructionso Administer JCT and other construction contracts and oversee project budgets and financial reportingo Ensure compliance with HTMs, HBNs, CDM Regulations, NHS guidance and statutory requirementso Act as Principal Designer where appropriate and support safe project deliveryo Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, contractors and specialist advisorso Lead, supervise and support Surveyors, Engineers and Trainees within EDTS

Education/Qualifications/Training

Essential

  • Degree level or equivalent experience and formal training in construction.
  • Professional registration or evidence working towards membership
  • IOSH or equivalent accredited Certificate
  • JCT Contract Management qualification or equivalent

Continuous Professional Development

Essential

  • Evidence of continuous personal development

Previous Experience

Essential

  • Experience of managing projects through inception, design and completion
  • 5 years' experience of design and building projects or 5 years' experience of constructioncontract management

Desirable

  • Previous work in healthcare

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Essential

  • Professional and technical knowledge of relevant IT systems, building, construction and engineering services
  • Ability to lead, direct and motivate a team
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of people at varying levels of organisations
  • Aptitude for training and development
  • Team Player
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work

Desirable

  • Knowledge of NBS
