  • Providing admin support to the team and medics.
  • Organising clinics, appointments, inputting onto SystmOne, general tasks, liaising with clients, carers.
  • Reception cover.
  • A high level of organisational an interpersonal skill required.
  • Ability to change improve procedures.
  • Problem solving.
  • Experience of using software including Microsoft Word / excel would be advantageous as would the use of SystmONe.
  • Supervision and guidance for less experienced staff will also be expected.
  • A flexible approach will be expected for absence / annual leave cover.

Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge of a range of administrative work procedures and practices
  • Literate and numerate level 2

Desirable

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Experience

Essential

  • Knowledge and experience of IT systems (S1) o
  • Experience of organising clinics and appointments
  • Problem solving skills / Deal with queries
  • Make improvements to admin procedures & processes when necessary

Desirable

  • Supervision of other less experienced staff

Qualifications

Essential

  • Advanced keyboard skills: RSA/OCR III or equivalent/Advanced ECDL
  • Good standard of maths/english (level 2)

Desirable

  • NVQ level 3

Personal attributes

Essential

  • Able to demonstrate inter-personal communication skills effectively
  • Able to deal with difficult and challenging situations
  • Ability to multi task and work under pressure and to deadlines

Environment

Essential

  • Light physical effort required for lifting stationery, files, sitting at a reception desk.
