Job description
We are pleased to advertise one Sector Clinical Lead post within the Central (South) Lancashire Sector. This Band 8a role is a key part of the sector ...
The Sector Clinical Lead will provide oversight and assurance in relation to clinical performance, quality and governance within the Central Lancashire Sector. This will include Ambulance Quality Indicators, clinical audit outputs, incident themes, clinical quality data and local intelligence to identify variation, support improvement plans and provide clear assurance to the Sector Manager and Area Consultant Paramedic.
The role will support local health and care system engagement across the regions working with partners to strengthen clinical pathways, reduce unwarranted variation, improve patient outcomes and contribute to the Trust's commitments around inequalities, inclusion and person-centred care.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician who can combine clinical credibility, compassionate leadership and sound judgement with the ability to influence, analyse complex information, manage competing priorities and support improvement across a busy operational sector. The post will suit someone ready to take the next step in their clinical leadership journey and make a visible contribution to patient safety, clinical quality and staff development in Central Lancashire Sector.
The Sector Clinical Lead would be expected to work Monday to Friday and would not normally attract unsocial hours, although where there is a requirement to work unsocial hours, such as to support public holiday working or significant operational pressures, this would be paid in line with Agenda for Change terms and conditions.
Applicants should ensure that their supporting information clearly demonstrates how their skills, knowledge and experience meet the job description and person specification, with particular reference to clinical leadership, patient safety, clinical governance, pathway development, supervision, improvement and partnership working.
