As a Salaried GP you will

Provide

high-quality, patient-centred care through face-to-face, telephone and

online consultations.

Participate

in the shared duty doctor rota.

Undertake

home visits where appropriate.

Manage

clinical correspondence and associated administration.

Work

collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Contribute

to teaching, quality improvement and clinical governance where

appropriate.

Support

the ongoing development of the practice and wider Primary Care Network.

What you can expect

10-minute appointments with

a manageable workload of approximately 13 patients in a morning session

and 12 patients in an afternoon session.

Regular breaks throughout

the day, giving you time to recharge and catch up with colleagues.

A shared duty doctor system,

ensuring urgent work is distributed fairly across the clinical team.

A low home visit workload,

supported by our wider multidisciplinary team wherever appropriate.

Excellent clinical and

administrative support, including our Medical Assistants, who play

a key role in reducing GP administrative workload by assisting with clinical

correspondence, document management and other non-clinical tasks.

A friendly, approachable team where

GPs are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas and support one another.

As a Salaried GP at Yalding Surgery, you will play an integral role in delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care to our practice population. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing comprehensive medical care through face-to-face, telephone and online consultations.

-

Assessing, diagnosing and managing acute and long-term conditions, referring patients appropriately in line with local and national guidance.

-

Prescribing safely and cost-effectively in accordance with NHS, NICE and local prescribing policies.

-

Undertaking home visits when clinically appropriate.

-

Managing clinical correspondence, referrals, pathology results and associated administration in a timely manner.

-

Maintaining accurate, contemporaneous clinical records using EMIS Web.

-

Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated patient care.

-

Participating in the shared duty doctor rota and contributing fairly to the clinical workload.

Supporting quality improvement, clinical governance, audit and QOF activities where appropriate.

-

Contributing to practice meetings, service development and the continued success of the practice and Primary Care Network.

Maintaining professional registration, appraisal, revalidation and continuing professional development in line with GMC requirements.

Working in accordance with practice policies, safeguarding responsibilities and current legislation.

Qualifications

Essential

  • GMC registration with licence to practise
  • Inclusion on the NHS England Performers List
  • MRCGP (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in UK General Practice
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills

Desirable

  • Interest in teaching or training
  • Women's health

Experience

Essential

  • You will need experience in working in a GP setting.

Desirable

  • An interest in Women's Health would be advantageous
