• Provide comprehensive general medical services to registered patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management and appropriate follow-up.
• Manage a varied clinical workload, including acute presentations, long-term conditions, preventative care and health promotion.
• Work within professional, ethical and legal standards and maintain accurate and appropriate clinical records.
• Prescribe safely and effectively in accordance with current guidance and practice policies.
• Make appropriate referrals and liaise with secondary care, community services and other healthcare professionals where required.
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team and our Primary Care Network to support joined-up patient care.
• Participate in clinical meetings, significant event reviews, audits, quality improvement initiatives and other practice development activities.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of practice policies, protocols and clinical governance arrangements.
• Support continuity of care and promote shared decision-making with patients wherever appropriate.
• Communicate clearly, respectfully and compassionately with patients, carers and colleagues.
• Maintain professional knowledge and competence through continuing professional development, appraisal and revalidation.

Essential

• Qualifications and professional registration
• Registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).
• Included on the NHS England Medical Performers List.
• Qualified as a General Practitioner with a recognised UK GP qualification or equivalent.
• Evidence of satisfactory completion of GP training.
• Commitment to maintaining professional development, appraisal and revalidation requirements.
• Clinical experience and skills
• Experience working as a GP in a primary care setting.
• Able to assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of clinical presentations.
• Able to manage patients with both acute and chronic conditions.
• Demonstrates safe and effective clinical decision-making.
• Able to recognise and appropriately manage clinical risk.
• Good understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding and patient confidentiality.
• Able to work within professional, ethical and legal frameworks.
