Salaried GP

4 - 6 clinical sessions per week

11 appointments per session

Low home visiting numbers due to central home visiting service in place

Mix of on the day appointments, pre bookable appointments and 'on-call' days

To deliver high level care to our population of patients.

Conduct both face to face and telephone consultations with patients

Manage both ongoing and acute medical conditions.

Prescribe medication where required and review medications and treatment plans where necessary

Arrange, interpret and act on any investigations completed

Refer patients to secondary care, any community provision or any other specialist clinics where needed.

Maintain accurate clinical records

Undertake home visits where necessary - where they are unsuitable for the HV service or they cannot accommodate.

Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed.

All other duties commensurate with the post

Here at Huddersfield Road, we are a positive, friendly and supportive team of people. We are regularly looking at ways that we can make our working days easier despite the pressure and although it will never be perfect, we are constantly trying.

We have updated our appointment system to 15 minute appointments, we have administration slots during both the morning and afternoon surgeries and we also have a dedicated doctors' administrator that supports with referral forms etc.

During the afternoon, we also have a dedicated tea break, where we all meet for a catch up.

Qualifications

Experience
