Making professional, autonomous

decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred

from other health care workers within the practice.

Assessing the health care needs of

patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.

Recording clear and contemporaneous

consultation notes to agreed standards.

Prescribing in accordance with the

practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically

appropriate.

To opportunistically complete the

necessary checks and record appropriate data to support the practice in meeting

the QOF, attaining GMS contract quality points.

You will manage your own patient list of 1,500 patients (based on 6 sessions) and take part in the duty doctor rota, currently 1 in 6, between the hours of 10.30 am and 6.30 pm.

Salaried GPs employed under the BMA model contract are entitled to protected learning time for professional development.

Lunchtime clinical/training meetings are held weekly to facilitate MDT discussion and peer support.

Role development and training is encouraged and supported.

Surgery start times can be flexible, but the post holder should normally be available between 8.00am and 6.00pm on each working day.

Each session will consist of 12 face-to-face appointments, with an agreed amount of tasks, documents & scripts.

High Pastures Surgery is seeking two enthusiastic and committed GPs to join our friendly, supportive team:

One GP for 6 sessions per week

One GP for 4 sessions per week

Our clinical team includes 2 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GPs, a Physician Associate, Midwife and 2 Practice Nurses, supported by an experienced management, reception, administration and secretarial team.

We are members of South Sefton Primary Care Network and Federation and are a GP training practice, supporting junior doctors and medical students. The practice is rated Good by the CQC and achieves strong QOF and LQC results.

We offer a collaborative working environment, excellent practice support, opportunities to develop special interests and contribute to service improvement, and access to professional development through our training practice, PCN and Federation.
