Undertake normal duties & responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
Responsible for a personalised list and all of the administration associated with it.
Duty GP on a rotational basis
- Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems
- Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- Effective management of long-term conditions
- Provide counselling and health education
- Delivery of high quality and effective medical care
- Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible)
- Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
- Process administration in a timely manner including referrals, lab reports and other associated administration
We have an excellent working relationship with our neighbouring practices via our PCN with access to Pharmacists & Pharmacy technicians, first contact practitioners, Health & wellbeing coaches and Social prescribers.
Rated Good across all areas by CQC, the surgery has an incredibly friendly atmosphere, and everyone has an opportunity to offer suggestions and voice opinions on the development of services.

Salary is negotiable & will be proportionate to the level of experience and responsibility.

Experience
Essential
- Appropriate experience of working in primary care
- Organised and efficient in record keeping & time management
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Clinical & Information Governance
- Self audit & reflection
Qualifications
Essential: - Fully qualified GP with GMC registration; - On Medical Performers List; - Evidence of annual appraisal & revalidation; - Enhanced DBS check
