As a Salaried General Practitioner, you will use your

professional skills and clinical knowledge to deliver a high standard of

patient-centred care within a supportive and collaborative team. The role includes:

Face-to-face and telephone consultations

Management of clinical correspondence and

results

Repeat prescribing

Home visits where appropriate

Participation in the ongoing development of

practice services and patient care

You

will work as an autonomous salaried General Practitioner, using your

professional skills and clinical knowledge to deliver a high standard of

patient-centered care within a supportive and collaborative team.

The

role involves a mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations, alongside

management of clinical correspondence and results, repeat prescribing, and home

visits where appropriate.

Furthermore,

the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice,

leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship

with the multidisciplinary team.

The following are the core

responsibilities of the salaried GP. There may be on occasion, a requirement to

conduct other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and

Staffing levels

The delivery of highly

effective medical care to the entitled population

commensurate with the GMS contract, undertaking responding to patients

face to face, by telephone or online as appropriate

Maintain accurate, contemporaneous

record on practice computer system for all patient contacts

Communicate with other

members of PHCT and outside agencies to plan and provide care which meets

patients needs

Prescribe in accordance with

local and national guidance

Effective management of

long-term conditions

Review and adhere to

practice protocols and policies including those on confidentiality, equality

and diversity, GDPR, health and safety and infection control

Process administration in a

timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other

associated administrative tasks

Undertake on call duties on

a rotational basis

Participate in advanced

access hours on a rotational basis

Work collaboratively,

accepting an equal share of the practice workload

Adhere to best practice

recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process

Contribute to the successful

implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the

practice

Attend and contribute

effectively to practice meetings as required

Commit to self-learning and

instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team

Participate in mandatory

training

Ensure compliance with the

appraisal and revalidation process

Work within practice

guidelines for safeguarding children and adults

Our clinical team consists of 4 GP Partners, 2

Salaried GPs, Practice Nurses, and a PCN Pharmacy Team. We are looking for a GP

who shares our commitment to providing high-quality patient care, values

teamwork, and enjoys working within a collaborative practice environment.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Qualified GP
  • MRCGP
  • Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
  • General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
