We now have a vacancy for a part time Catering Assistant based at Rochdale Infirmary Main purpose of the job is to provide the best possible service a...
- Being dynamic serving customers in a fast paced Barista style coffee shop.
- Preparing the counter for service
- Accurately take food orders over the counter or on the telephone
- Cash Handling, taking card payments and keeping accurate accounts of money transactions.
- Simple Food preparation such as salads and sandwiches.
- Preparing orders for Paninis, pizza and other hot snacks.
- Keeping accurate records for the HACCP Food Safety System
- Putting away deliveries
- Replenishing fridges and selves with stock, whilst making sure stock is rotated.
- Informing supervisor when stocks are low
- Clearing away dirty pots.
- General cleaning of service counter and restaurant areas.
- When required deliver food orders to the Wards.
- If required, cover absences with in the Catering Dept including Patients Kitchen

Qualifications
Essential
- Basic Food Hygiene or equivalent standard
Desirable
- Level 2 Hygiene Certificate
- Catering qualifications
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Demonstrate and understanding of the catering assistant role with a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of allergens
Desirable
- Previous retail experience
- Barista Experience within a Hospitality Setting
Skills
Desirable
- Demonstrate excellent customer relation and service skills
