This post in Adult Cardiac Anaesthesia and Critical Care involves a flexible commitment working on data analysis for the SECURE study. There is no clinical or on-call commitment attached to this post. Fellows will be supported to pursue other academic, clinical and education opportunities within the department if appropriate.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience working on the SECURE study
  • Experience leading a regional research network
  • Previous NHS hospital experience
  • Completion of FRCA or FFICM by examination

Desirable

  • Other postgraduate diplomas or qualifications eg. PhD
  • Previous research and audit experience

Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Experience working with research networks and participating in national service evaluation projects
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Effective information technology skills

Desirable

  • Competence in database handling
  • Competence in medical statistics

Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • Full GMC registration with license to practice
