This is a fixed term, part-time research post to support and enhance the delivery of a randomised controlled trial at one of the sites in an exciting NIHR funded multi-centre project.
The role will involve completing follow-up assessments, including structured research interviews with participants already enrolled in the study, and helping them to complete patient-reported outcome measures. The post holder will be responsible for the secure storage and management of all data collected. There may be opportunities to be involved in qualitative data collection and analysis.
The post holder will be employed and managed by North London NHS Foundation Trust, and work within the Camden and Islington EIP teams. They will also be required to work at the other sites for the study,Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT), where they will occasionally support their counterparts with follow up assessments. Travel for this part of the role will be covered by NLFT
The post holder will work under the supervision of Camden and Islington EIP team managers, the trial co-principal investigators Dr Miriam Fornells-Ambrojo and Prof. Sonia Johnson, as well as other senior clinical psychologists.

- due to the funding available for this post, we are only able to offer Band 5 Entry step point salary to candidates
- this is a fixed term post, with funding in place until 31st May 2027. The successful candidate would need to be available to start by 1st Nov 2026.

Qualifications/ Registrations
Essential
- First degree (2:1 or higher) in psychology or other relevant subject and excellent academic record
Desirable
- Masters degree qualification in mental health research or other relevant social science
- Training in Good Clinical Practice
Skills & Abilities
Essential
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
- Essential IT skills (i.e. MS Office)
- An ability to maintain accurate records, collect clinical data and produce reports
- Self-motivation, the ability to work on own initiative, as well as work to deadlines
Desirable
- Skills in using research data software e.g. NVivo or SPSS
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Experience working with adults with moderate to severe mental disorders and of recruiting participants with anxiety, depression or trauma into research studies
- Experience of conducting interviews in a research or clinical context, using standardized, patient-reported outcome measures
- An understanding of the needs and difficulties of people with mental health problems and other disabilities (through personal, work or other experience)
- Good understanding of quantitative research data

- Working with diverse groups of people
General

- To be flexible and willing to work as part of a team as well as work remotely when required
- Strong desire to work with people with anxiety, depression and trauma and their carers to facilitate research recruitment
