The Rehabilitation Assistant will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will have specialist experience, knowledge and skills to work within the community or an outpatient setting.
As part of this role you will
Perform at a high level of competence within agreed protocols under the supervision of a registered professional.
Take responsibility for their own workload within a broad framework overseen by registered staff to implement, deliver and evaluate specialist stroke rehabilitation programmes.
Be responsible for delivering defined therapeutic input independently with access to registered staff for advice and direction as needed.
Use technical and creative skills in the provision of therapeutic activities for individual patients and/or group sessions within the home environment or an outpatient setting.

Experience
Essential
- Working as part of a team
- Working in a care environment
- Supporting or contributing to the management of individuals with disabilities.
- Implementation of rehabilitation programmes.
- Experience of providing group activity programs.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
Desirable
- Previous experience of working in a community setting/lone working
- Previous experience of working with patients after stroke
- Experience of supporting service users, families and carers in dealing with the impact of compromised functional ability.
- Working in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications
Essential
- Level 2 or above qualification (e.g. NVQ III, QCF 2) or equivalent
- GCSE English and Maths grade c / level 4 or above or Functional English and Maths level 2.
Desirable
- Evidence of recent CPD activity
- Willingness to study / complete relevant training courses
