Registered Mental Health Nurse

We are a busy 31 to 41 bedded Acute Medical Unit that deals with a range of medical conditions. We receive patients directly from A&E, the Medical Receiving Unit and other areas of the hospital.

There is a high turnover of patients and a fast pace of work and we have high expectations regarding the quality of care provided to our patients. The care we provide has a focus of compassion & competence in order to give our patients the best possible care we can.

It is important to give you a supernumerary period to ensure that you have time to orientate yourself to your new environment.

Qualifications

Essential: - Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid PIN

Desirable: - Recognised qualification in teaching

Experience

Essential: - At least 1 year experience in a mental health setting

Desirable: - Has experience as a student or registered nurse in an Acute hospital setting; - Experience of an acute medical environment
