Registered Manager – Ofsted Children’s Home Location: Birmingham Salary: £75,000 Contract: Full-time, Permanent About Us We are an ambitious and child-centred organisation committed to providing high-quality, therapeutic residential care for children and young people. Our focus is on creating safe, nurturing environments where every child can heal, grow, and thrive. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our Ofsted-registered children’s home. The Role As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management, and operational oversight of the home. You will ensure the service meets Ofsted regulations, delivers exceptional outcomes, and provides a stable, supportive environment for children and young people with complex needs. Key Responsibilities
Lead, inspire, and develop a dedicated staff team to deliver outstanding care.Ensure full compliance with Ofsted, Children’s Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards.Oversee safeguarding, risk management, and behaviour support practices.Drive continuous improvement and maintain high-quality care planning.Manage budgets, resources, and staffing effectively.Build strong relationships with external professionals, families, and stakeholders.Ensure the home is always prepared for Ofsted inspections and achieves strong ratings. About You We’re looking for a confident, resilient leader with a genuine passion for improving children’s lives. Essential Requirements
Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting.Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive positive outcomes.Excellent safeguarding knowledge and commitment to child protection.Strong organisational, communication, and decision-making skills. Desirable
Experience working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), trauma, or complex needs.Track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings. What We Offer
