Senior Registered Manager – Children's Residential Care South Wales | Full-time | Permanent Salary: £43,051 – £52,182 per annum Additional payments available for sleep-ins and overtime worked. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead and manage a children's residential service in South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced children's residential professional who is ready to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a home and lead a dedicated team in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people. The service provides a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for young people who may have emotional, behavioural and complex support needs. The Role As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the effective running of the home, ensuring that children and young people receive consistently high standards of care and support. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, motivating and developing a team of residential care staffTaking overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the homeEnsuring the service operates in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations and safeguarding requirementsMaintaining high standards of care and promoting positive outcomes for young peopleEnsuring care plans, risk assessments and records are accurate and regularly reviewedWorking closely with children, families, social workers and other professionalsAttending reviews, care planning meetings and professional discussionsManaging staff performance, supervision and developmentEnsuring staff receive appropriate training and supportPromoting a positive, child-centred culture within the homeEnsuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all timesSupporting inspections and maintaining compliance with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) requirementsContributing to wider management and service development across the organisation Essential Requirements

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's Services, or actively working towards the qualificationSignificant experience of supervising and managing staffPrevious experience working within a residential care settingStrong leadership, communication and decision-making skillsGood understanding of safeguarding and child protectionKnowledge of Welsh safeguarding proceduresGood understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and statutory requirementsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFull UK manual driving licence and access to a vehicleA genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young peopleAbility to lead, motivate and develop a team Desirable

Registered with Social Care Wales, or eligible and willing to registerPrevious experience within children's residential careExperience supporting children and young people with emotional or behavioural needsWelsh-speaking skills What's on Offer?
