Registered Homes Manager (Children's Residential Services) Location: The Bungalow, EastbourneRate: £450 per day Umbrella Contract: Interim Assignment, 3-6 MonthsStart Date: ASAPHours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (flexibility required to meet the needs of the service)DBS Requirement: Enhanced DBS with Barred List Check for Children and Adults Adecco are recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Homes Manager to lead The Bungalow, a specialist respite and residential children's home in Eastbourne. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled residential care leader to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with complex learning disabilities and additional needs, while leading a committed team focused on delivering outstanding outcomes.
About The Bungalow The Bungalow is a respite and residential children's home providing high-quality care and support to children and young people aged 7 to 19 years who have severe and enduring cognitive delay, learning disabilities, low functional abilities and, in some cases, physical disabilities.
The service is committed to ensuring children and young people have access to the same opportunities as their peers. Staff support young people to develop independence skills wherever possible and are dedicated to helping them achieve their full potential.
At the heart of the service is a commitment to treating every child as an individual with dignity and respect. The team works to achieve positive outcomes by supporting health, education, social development, transition to adulthood and family relationships wherever appropriate.
The Role As the Registered Homes Manager, you will provide effective leadership, management oversight and strategic direction for the home, ensuring compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements.
You will be responsible for
Leading and managing the home's daily operations.Ensuring the safeguarding, welfare and wellbeing of all children and young people.Driving positive outcomes in education, health, independence and social development.Supporting, developing and supervising the staff team through reflective practice and performance management.Working collaboratively with families, social workers, health professionals and other partner agencies.Managing budgets, resources and workforce planning effectively.Maintaining regulatory compliance, quality assurance processes and performance improvement plans.Overseeing care planning, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.Participating in management cover arrangements and providing support to the wider residential service as required.
About You To be considered for this role, you must have:
Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent relevant qualification).Previous experience as a Registered Homes Manager within a children's residential setting.Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and Ofsted frameworks.Significant experience working with looked after children and young people in residential care.Proven leadership, staff management and team development experience.Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience.Excellent communication, organisational and partnership-working skills.The ability to manage competing priorities within a challenging and rewarding environment.
Due to the operational requirements of the role, candidates should be based locally or within a commutable distance of Eastbourne. Additional Information
