- Provision of drug & alcohol treatment to Service Users within the locality.
- Holding a caseload of service users and being responsible for offering a range of interventions to those individuals.

1. Provide harm reduction advice, information and support with an emphasis on safer drug use, safer sex, HIV, Hepatitis A,B and C and other blood borne infections 2. Offer Naloxone to all Clients due to risks presenting, or as a precautionary measure.3. Provide Blood borne virus testing4. Be responsible for maintaining a full case load of complex clients as the key worker.5. To conduct outreach visits consistent with need.6. To offer a flexible approach to work within a range of locations including STARs hubs, MPFT hubs and an outreach setting7. To carry out comprehensive assessments, construct care packages with multi disciplinary colleagues where required, review care plans in a structured format and manage onward referral.8. To assist and support medical and nurse prescribers during harm reduction and prescribing clinics.

Qualifications
Essential
- Foundation Degree / HNC in related field which may include counselling, social work, nursing, psychology, human resources, social studies or equivalent experience
Experience
Essential
- Considerable experience of working with drug users
- Experience of working with techniques such as CBT, Motivational interviewing, and Solution focused therapy
- A commitment to and understanding of harm reduction & recovery approaches to working with drug users.
Skills and Abilities
Essential
- Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals.
- Ability to work with drug/alcohol users in a community environment
