To handle a variety of inquiries from the public and other agencies in a courteous and helpful manner, whether at the reception desk or over the phone, and during face-to-face interactions with the public and service users. Seek assistance and guidance from administrators as well as the Operational Manager when needed.
To answer all incoming calls to the service and respond to them appropriately with politeness and efficiency.
To schedule appointments and reach out to service users regarding their appointments or any cancellations.

Education/Qualification/Training
Essential: - Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent level of experience; - Good standard of written and spoken English
Desirable: - GCSE or equivalent qualifications
Experience
Essential: - Expereince of working in a receptionist role capacity within a team setting for up to 2 years or more; - Demonstrate experience of receptionist processes
Desirable: - Experience in health/mental Health, education or social services environment; - Experience of good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
Knowledge and skills
Essential
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 360 and its applications
- Knowledge of patient administration systems
- Data entry system
- Good communication and interpersonal skills including ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- IT/Administration
Desirable: - An understanding of office procedures; - Understanding of hospital and/or social services environments

Essential
- Professional accountability
- Polite and friendly
- Ability to deal with verbally aggressive service users with empathy
- Ability to multitask in an environment where there are frequent interruptions
