Receptionist

• Handle all telephone and general enquiries in a professional manner
• Make appointments for patients in accordance with practice protocols
• Ensure that messages and requests for visits are recorded and that the appropriate doctor or team members
• Ensure that any tasks requested by the clinical team are carried out
• Liaise with hospital and community staff

Essential

• Ability to work in a polite, confidential and discreet manner, respecting patients and colleagues at all times.
• Experience of working with the general public, being sensitive and empathic in distressing situations.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong IT and administration skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable

• Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable.
