The role of a Radiotherapy Support Worker is to primarily support the patients and the radiographers within the radiotherapy department. It is a diverse role, with clinical and clerical aspects to the role. A few examples of what you will be expected to do include; chaperoning patients, participating in the phlebotomy service taking bloods, recording patients observations using the National Early Warnings Scoring system and assisting in our brachytherapy and Papillon suite.
