Radiographer

Applications are invited from suitably experienced candidates to work within the busy Radiology department of the University Dental Hospital Cardiff.

University Dental Hospital Cardiff is the only Dental school in Wales. Training undergraduate Dentists, Dental Hygiene and Therapists and post grad students in specialist dental techniques.

We undertake all aspects of Dental radiography including Intraoral, extraoral and CBCT.

Once fully trained you will be encouraged to undertake student supervision.

The role is Monday to Friday no on call, weekends or bank holidays.

Qualifications

Essential: - Appropriate Qualification in Diagnostic Radiography BSc (Hons) or equivalent

Desirable: - Post Graduate training and formal specialist training

Registrations

Essential: - Professional Registration

Desirable: - Meets all desirable criteria as per attached job description/person specification

Skills

Essential: - Evidence of supervisory, organisational, teaching and presentation skills

Desirable: - Evidence of skill extension and initiative

Experience

Essential: - Extensive experience in an NHS hospital setting with wide range of imaging systems

Desirable: - Previous experience of specialist /dental modalities

Personal qualities

Essential: - Team work, decision making, caring ,empathetic, ,mature social skills.

Desirable: - Evidence of leadership skills, ability to delegate and flexible approach to work .

Special Knowledge

Essential: - Knowledge of current imaging trends specific to the role.

Desirable: - Appreciation of a wide range of imaging modalities
