Quality and Patient Safety Midwife

As a Quality and Patient Safety Midwife, the post holder will take responsibility for leading the maternity aspect of any investigations of significant events and patient safety incidents, producing and monitoring action plans that take place across the maternity and neonatal services, across both sites.

Therewill be an expectation that you will provide support and information for staff to learn from incidents, taking into consideration human factors and the SEIPS methodology as described in the NHS Patient Safety Incident Response Framework. The role will provide assurance that change in practice has been embedded to reduce the risk of re-occurrence.

Essential: - Registered Midwife; - Evidence of continuing education; - Leadership qualification or relevant leadership experience

Desirable: - Experience and understanding of Complaints management; - Report writing experience
