Harbury Surgery is looking for a qualified Dispenser and to join our small, friendly team. The role is for 25 hours per week, working Monday to Friday...
Main duties will include processing and dispensing prescriptions, managing monitored dosage packs, ordering medication, answering patient queries via telephone and dispensary hatch, and supporting day-to-day dispensary operations.

Harbury Surgery is a proactive, progressive and well established practice spread across 2 sites. Our team of 5 GPs, two practice Nurses' and a wider clinical team that includes Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribers and Health and Well Being Practitioners serve almost 6,000 patients. We are also a training practice with a regular team of registrars, medical students and nursing students year round. We all work together to provide a high standard of care to our patients
Our non-clinical team is comprised of the Practice manager, Assistant practice manager, Operations Manager, Dispensary manager, care navigator team/admin team, secretary team and dispensary.
Qualifications
Essential
- Must have an NVQ2 or equivalent accredited course in pharmacy services
Experience
Essential
- Strong communication skills with patients, colleagues and other healthcare professionals
- Able to use your own initiative with the ability to problem solve issues
- Confidentiality is essential
- The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy when carrying out tasks
Desirable
- Experience of working in Primary Care/General Practice.
- Experience of working with the public in a customer service role.
- Experience of working with EMIS clinical system, Microsoft Office, Word & Excel
- Experience of dosette boxes would be beneficial
