Public Health Practitioner Epidemiology

The post is focused on epidemiology, statistical methods and economic evaluation. You will lead and contribute to significant epidemiological, research and evaluation workstreams, provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, and work collaboratively with partners to improve outcomes for the people of Derbyshire.

You will join a supportive and experienced team with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality public health evidence and insight that inform decision-making across the local system. Our work includes health needs assessments, health equity audits, health impact assessments, evaluation and research. You will analyse and interpret complex data, critically appraise evidence, and translate findings into clear, actionable insights that influence policy, strategy and service development.

Qualifications

Essential: - Degree or equivalent qualification with significant numerical or statistical content

Desirable: - Postgraduate qualification in public health, epidemiology, statistics or related subject.
