Supporting the 0-19 service to deliver the public health offer in St Helen's.
Managing a safeguarding caseload, including completing health assessments, contributing to multi-agency meetings and completing reports.
Delegation and work planning/organisation
Facilitating clinics across St Helen's
The successful candidate will work as part of the 0-19 service, delivering public health offer across St Helen's.
The role also includes providing leadership to junior colleagues and new starters, organising/ work planning and delegation and chairing and attending meetings.
The St Helen's 0-19 service is a friendly supportive team offering staff the opportunity to work flexibly if needed.
We work with the trust values of compassion openness and Trust ensuring that we demonstrate these values to children and families in St Helen's and to each other.
We have daily safety huddles to support staff at the beginning of each day and monthly team meetings.
Supervision is available to all staff both planned and reactive.
We work closely with our specialist Safeguarding nurses to ensure staff feel supported and have access to appropriate training and induction
Qualifications and Professional Training
Essential
- RN (Adult or Child/RSCN) or RM
Desirable
- Mentorship
- Motivational Interviewing
Experience and Knowledge
Essential
- Working within the 0-19 Team and evidence of managing a school nursing caseload
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding issues
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Ability to use email, internet and word processing software.
Desirable
- Delivering public health sessions in schools
Skills and Attributes
Essential
- Good verbal and non-verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Ability to support students in placement
- Ability to support and motivate staff
