Psychology Graduate - Mental Health Assistant
Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience supporting vulnerable children and young people? A welcoming specialist school in Slough is seeking a compassionate and resilient Mental Health Assistant to join their team in September. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates interested in psychology, counselling, therapy, social work, mental health, or education. You will support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom have experienced adverse childhood experiences and require consistent, nurturing support to help them thrive both emotionally and academically. The Role
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needsHelp pupils develop emotional regulation, resilience, and positive coping strategiesSupport students during lessons and therapeutic interventionsWork closely with teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe, supportive learning environmentBuild positive relationships with vulnerable young people and act as a trusted adult role model Ideal for Graduates Interested In:
