The post holder will be responsible for delivery of a range of psychological assessment and low-intensity interventions for our clients living in the Borough's of City & Hackney. These include: one to one protocol based treatments of common mental health problems, guided self-help, online CBT programs and psycho-educational group workshops.
We have a well-established long term conditions team of PWP and HI Therapists with opportunities for further training in this area, and a dedicated frontline staff pathway for frontline staff impacted by the current pandemic. Staff are actively encouraged to engage with outreach work within the community and with service - related research.
The service has a strong focus on staff wellbeing within the context of talking therapies service provision, with opportunities for continued professional development.
Candidates must have (or be working towards) a PG Certificate in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment for adults or equivalent.

Education/Qualifications
Essential
- Educated or able to demonstrate experience to degree level
- PG Certificate in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment or equivalent
Skills/Abilities
Essential
- Ability to build and sustain cross-discipline / sector relationships
- Analytical - able to interpret data and synthesise information from different sources
- Computer literate - able to use spreadsheets and computerised information systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Well-developed English written and oral communication skills - able to present complex information in jargon-free, reader-friendly ways
Desirable
- Influencing and negotiating skills
- Presentation skills in front of groups
Experience
Essential
- Experience of building a relationship / face to face contact with people with emotional difficulties
- Experience or understanding of working with a diverse range of communities (e.g. black and other minority ethnic groups)
- Experience of engaging groups or individuals with little knowledge of the subject matter
- Working with Primary Care staff within a medical / health setting
Desirable
- Experience of carrying out health or other promotion work in the community
- Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge

- Broad background knowledge of the NHS, Local Authority, primary care and voluntary sector provision and the legislative frameworks underpinning the provision of health and social care
- Detailed understanding of the needs of people with mental health problems and their carers.
