The primary role of the postholder will be to provide senior clinical psychiatric input to the HIV Service at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham as a...

  • Provide senior psychiatric leadership and specialist clinical expertise within the HIV Service.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage psychiatric disorders in patients living with HIV.
  • Undertake comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate treatment plans.
  • Liaise with primary care, community mental health, substance misuse, and other support services.
  • Contribute to the development of integrated care pathways.

Qualifications

Essential

  • *Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • *Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Psychiatry (or within six months of CCT/CCST, or CESR eligible).
  • *Approved under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act (1983)
