We are looking for a reliable, practical and solutions-focused Property Services Porter to join our team at the Sugar & Ronson Campus in Redbridge. Working behind the scenes, you will provide essential support that helps our residential care, community, hospitality and operational teams deliver their services effectively. Your day-to-day work will include setting up rooms, moving furniture and supplies, receiving and distributing deliveries, supporting Meals on Wheels and keeping storage and operational areas organised. You will need to be physically able to move items safely, confident managing competing priorities and committed to providing a helpful and professional service. This is a varied, hands-on role where your contribution will make a genuine difference to the people who live in, visit and use our services.
Make a difference behind the scenes
At Jewish Care, what happens behind the scenes matters. As a Property Services Porter, you'll help keep our busy Sugar & Ronson Campus running smoothly, safely and efficiently.
From setting up rooms for events and activities to moving supplies, managing deliveries and supporting teams across the campus, you'll be the person colleagues can rely on to get things done.
It's a varied, hands-on role where no two days are quite the same and where your work directly supports our residents, members, visitors and colleagues.
This post is working 36.25 hours per week Monday to Friday with occasional Sundays when required, where time in lieu will be given.

- Distributing care consumables and non-clinical supplies to departments and storage areas.

- A helpful, professional and customer-focused approach.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- An understanding of safe manual handling and health and safety.
- The ability to safely carry out physical duties, including lifting and moving items.
- Basic IT skills.
- The confidence to work independently and use your initiative.
- Flexibility to respond to changing priorities and operational needs.
Most importantly, you'll be dependable, courteous and solutions-focused, taking pride in doing a job well and helping the wider team deliver an excellent service.
