Following a recent service redesign and the launch of our Procurement Strategy,

we are investing in data, insight and performance management to support the

delivery of better commercial and operational outcomes.

We are seeking

a highly motivated individual with significant experience in business

intelligence, performance reporting or data analysis within a complex

organisation. You will be confident working with large and sometimes ambiguous

datasets, developing insightful reports and dashboards, and presenting findings

to senior stakeholders in a clear and compelling way.

The successful

candidate will have advanced Excel and Power BI skills, excellent analytical

and problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail and the confidence to

influence decision-making through evidence-based insight. Experience of

procurement, finance or NHS data would be advantageous.

We provide a full range of Facilities Management, Procurement and Outpatient Pharmacy services. We employ staff in a wide range of functions, ranging from cleaners, porters, engineers, procurement and pharmacists.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent level of relevant experience, supported by advanced specialist knowledge in data analysis business intelligence, procurement or financial performance management, acquired through significant post qualification experience.

Knowledge & Skills

Essential

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and practical experience of Power BI or similar tools.
  • Ability to interrogate validate and reconcile data from multiple sources.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to influence and challenge constructively using evidence.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • High level of curiosity, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of procurement and nonpay spend analysis.
  • Knowledge of data quality principles and functional data governance.
  • Understanding of performance management and the use of insight to drive improvement.
  • Sound understanding of the principles that underpin continuity of supply, including risk awareness, mitigation, and proactive planning to minimise impact on patient care.
  • Advanced knowledge of best practice project management.
  • Extensive understanding of the principles of effective service change and modernisation.

Desirable

  • Awareness of NHS or public sector operating environments (desirable).

Experience

Essential

  • Extensive experience operating as a recognised specialist in analysis, performance reporting or intelligence within a complex organisation.
  • Experience of advising senior managers on interpretation of complex, sometimes ambiguous datasets to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Experience of improving data quality, structures or reporting within a function or service area.
  • Experience of developing dashboards, reports and performance frameworks using Excel and/or Power BI.
  • Experience of working with procurement or financial data (NHS or public sector desirable).
  • Experience of working with multiple systems and reconciling data across sources.

Desirable

  • Evidence of on-going professional development on specialist courses.

Physical Skills

Essential

  • Advanced keyboard skills and ability to work for prolonged periods using IT systems.
  • Ability to accurately manipulate, analyse and present data using standard office and analytical software.
  • Ability to travel between Trust sites as required.
