To contribute to the administrative work in the Practice Prescription
Hub; ensuring all prescription requests are actioned promptly, and to ensure prescriptions
are administered within the designated timescale, assist in Pharmacy team
clinic booking to maximise capacity and contribute to coverage of the Practice
urgent line.

Portsdown Group Practice covers the whole of Portsmouth from postcodes PO1 to PO7. We operate from 6 surgeries: Cosham Park House (PO6 3BG), Crookhorn Lane (PO7 5XP, Heyward Road (PO4 0DY), Kingston Crescent (PO2 8AL), Paulsgrove (PO6 4HJ), and Somerstown (PO5 4EZ).
We are our own Primary Care Network (PCN). We have Clinical Partners, Salaried GPs and a comprehensive Nursing and extended clinical team overseen by our Clinical Team Manager. The team consists of Nurse / Paramedic Practitioners, Registered Nurses, HCAs, MSK Physiotherapists, Podiatrist, Social Prescribers and Care Co-ordinators. The Pharmacy team consists of Clinical Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.
The Practice is well established, financially secure and successful.
Experience
Essential: - Work experience in a customer facing role; - Experience in a fast paced/busy working environment
Desirable: - Experience of working within a primary care setting; - Previous history of working within a prescription focused environment

Essential: - Do you have the independent Right to Work within the UK, without sponsorship from us at any point?
Qualifications
Essential: - Good general standard of education
Desirable: - NVQ in Customer Service or equivalent
Knowledge
Essential: - IT knowledge; - Knowledge of customer service principles and practices; - Understanding of confidentiality
Desirable: - Knowledge of clinical systems in healthcare; - Knowledge of prescription process; - Medication and prescription terminology
Other
Essential: - Are you interested in the 30 hour or 23 hour position, or both?
