Pre Assessment Nurse – Endoscopy

The ERCP Specialist Nurse will act as the named lead nurse for ERCP within the Trust, supporting clinical governance, audit, and service improvement. The post-holder will contribute to MDT meetings, liaise with consultants, endoscopy teams, radiology, and surgical colleagues, and ensure that patients receive clear, personalised information throughout their ERCP journey.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced endoscopy or gastroenterology nurse to develop advanced skills in a specialist area, supported by a structured training and competency programme aligned to BSG standards. The role includes protected time for CPD, audit, and professional development, reflecting the Trust's commitment to high-quality care and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be motivated, organised, clinically confident, and passionate about improving patient safety and experience within a complex and high-risk endoscopic service.

Qualifications and Training

Essential: - Registered Nurse (NMC); - Degree or diploma in nursing; - Teaching and Assessing Qualification; - Evidence of ongoing relevant professional development

Experience

Essential: - Experience in audit, QI, or MDT coordination; - Ability to interpret blood tests and imaging reports
