Practice Nurse

The ideal candidate should have general practice nurse skills and be competent in chronic disease management with evidence of accreditation. The skills would also include:

Registered Nurse qualification and current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Previous experience working in a primary care or GP surgery setting is essential.

Sound knowledge of general practice nursing procedures and best practices.

Competency in conducting patient assessments and managing common health conditions.

Proficient in administering medications and treatments.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.

Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMIS) systems is preferred.

The Practice Nurse will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to the practice population.

The role will include long-term condition management, cervical screening, adult and childhood immunisations, wound care, health promotion, preventative care and other clinical procedures, according to the post holder's experience, training and competencies.

Stanmore House Surgery is a well-established GP practice based in Kidderminster, providing high-quality primary care services to our local patient population.

Our clinical team consists of 3 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 3 Practice Nurses and 3 Healthcare Assistants, supported by an experienced and well-established administrative team. We work collaboratively across all areas of the practice, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, communication and providing excellent patient-centered care.
