The Practice Nurse will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective and patient-centred nursing care to the practice population.

The postholder will work within their professional competence, practice policies and current clinical guidance, taking responsibility for the assessment, planning and delivery of appropriate nursing care.

St Pauls Clinic is a busy GP practice in Newport, providing NHS primary care to a diverse local community.We work in an area with significant health inequalities and a wide range of clinical, social and communication needs. No two days are quite the same, and the work can be challenging, varied and genuinely rewarding.

Our multidisciplinary team includes GPs, an Advanced Paramedic Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacists, nurses, healthcare assistants and an experienced administrative team. We work closely together and make good use of the skills across the whole team.

Our patients come from many different backgrounds and speak a wide range of languages. Good communication, flexibility and an understanding that one approach will not work for everyone are important parts of working here.

Experience

Essential: - Experience of working within a nursing team; - Experience of dealing with vulnerable patients
