- Provide a high standard of safe, effective and
compassionate nursing care to patients.
- Undertake routine and complex wound care and
dressings.
- Carry out health assessments and chronic
disease reviews.
- Support the management of long-term conditions
including diabetes, asthma, COPD and cardiovascular disease.
- Undertake immunisations and vaccinations in
accordance with national guidance and practice protocols.
- Carry out cervical screening.
- Perform blood pressure checks, ECGs, blood
tests and other clinical procedures within your scope of practice.
- Provide health promotion, lifestyle advice and
preventative healthcare.
- Support the practice in achieving clinical
targets, quality standards and contractual requirements.
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous and
confidential clinical records.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to
patients whose health may be deteriorating and escalate concerns when
appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with our GPs, Practice
Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Pharmacists and wider multidisciplinary
team.
- Participate in clinical audits, infection
prevention and control, safeguarding and practice improvement activities.
- Contribute to the development and improvement
of nursing services within Eglwysbach Surgery.
- Maintain professional knowledge and clinical
competence through continuing professional development and appropriate
training.

Qualifications
Essential
- We are looking for a registered nurse who is:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council NMC.
- Experienced in, or enthusiastic about developing a career within, general practice/primary care.
- Confident in assessing patients and managing a varied clinical workload.
- Able to work independently while also contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
- Committed to providing safe, effective and compassionate patient care.
- Organised, reliable and able to prioritise competing demands.
- A clear, professional and effective communicator.
- Able to build positive relationships with patients, colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
- Committed to continuing professional development and maintaining clinical competence.
- Flexible, approachable and able to contribute positively to the wider practice team.
Desirable: - independent Prescribing
