  • Co-ordinate /facilitate educational activities for registered and non-registered nursing and midwifery within a designated practice area
  • The post holder will establish and maintain links with Kingston Faculty of Healthcare Sciences, Kings College London and south Bank University (as appropriate)
  • Improve the patients experience and care standards on the ward/ clinical areas
  • Support the induction content and process for all newly appointed nursing staff
  • Improve the patient experience and care standards across the integrated Trust by leading and developing competency assessment documents
  • Actively participate in national and corporate projects.
  • Lead and ensure pastoral support for nursing staff
  • Identify and coordinate the nursing staff to undertake CPD activity appropriate to role in collaboration senior nurse leaders and the Head of Nursing for Practice Development & Education
  • Support with the development of a trust strategy/career pathway for nursing staff in collaboration with stakeholders and Head of Nursing for Practice development & Education and workforce lead
  • Lead and develop study days for nursing staff in line with organisational priorities

  • Ability to synthesise facts or situations requiring analysis, formulating and mentoring delivery plans. Evidence of adopting problem solving approaches to issues and situations. Experience of audit and other benchmarking strategies, using the result of interim change and improvement.

  • Proven ability to work under pressure both professionally and managerially. Proven ability to concentrate and maintain high degree of accuracy. Proven ability to emotionally support other staff.
