Reporting into the Team Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver therapy and rehabilitation programmes for children and young people with complex needs, using play, positioning and physical activity
- Support children and young people to improve function, independence and participation in everyday life
- Manage a delegated caseload, delivering and reviewing individualised treatment programmes under the guidance of registered Allied Health Professionals
- Work collaboratively with families, education settings and multidisciplinary colleagues to provide high-quality, child-centred care
- Promote health, wellbeing and positive outcomes through evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Training
Essential
- Knowledge of therapeutic procedures gained through a combination of formal training, short courses and experiences to diploma level 5 or equivalent. Or Foundation degree in health and social care or a level 5 apprenticeship
Desirable
- Social prescribing training
- Care certificate
- Level 3 Supporting Participation in Physical Activity for People with Long Term Health Conditions
Experience
Essential
- Experience in health and/or social care settings, such as employment, work experience, volunteering or placement(s)
- Experience of delivering therapy programmes.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- Knowledge of physical, mental, and behavioural health conditions
- Familiarity of common conditions requiring therapy (e.g., developmental delays, neurological conditions, musculoskeletal issues)
- Ability to develop and implement therapy programmes
- Ability to speak to children, families explaining procedures and building rapport
- Ability to deliver training to colleagues, parents and other specialties
- Organisational skills to manage workload, prioritise and adapt to changing circumstances
- Analytical skills to assess situations, make judgements and modify therapeutic interventions as needed

- Flexible approach to work to adjust therapy plans based on the changing needs of children.
- Proactive in identifying improvements to develop the service.
