Phlebotomist

The successful applicant will split their time between both practices, playing an important role in supporting patient services.

Have previous experience within a healthcare environment.

Hold recognised phlebotomy training and be competent in venepuncture.

Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Be organised, conscientious and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Provide a caring, professional and patient-focused service.

Purpose

To assist medical and nursing personnel in the

care of practice patients to include venepuncture; blood pressure monitoring;

doing weight and updating patients health templates.

Responsible for seeing patients who require

blood tests and wider health checks. To maintain a safe and effective level of

practice and to bring any deficits in training to the attention of the Nurse

Manager so these can be addressed.

The phlebotomist will be required to act in a

professional manner at all times and adhere to practice policies, protocols and

guidelines.
