Pharmacy Technician

The job of a Pharmacy Technician at Elysium Healthcare at Thornford Park Hospital involves ensuring safe and efficient medication management in a specialty care setting. This is a full-time position for 37.5 hours per week. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference by driving excellence in medication management and contributing to the wellbeing of people with mental health needs.

In this role, you will work alongside the GP service, nursing teams and our pharmacy provider to ensure medications are ordered, dispensed and received on site in a timely manner. You will act on safety alerts, maintain secure storage of medications and attend monthly multidisciplinary meetings to support collaborative care planning. Your responsibilities will include contributing to clinical governance, participating in audits and liaising with pharmacy and nursing staff to continuously improve service delivery.

You will provide visibility and support across departments, ensuring both clinical and non-clinical teams have access to pharmacy expertise throughout the working week. Escalating quality concerns, maintaining professional standards, and ensuring compliance with GPhC guidance will be central to your role. You will also deliver staff training relevant to medication management and support service development initiatives.
