You will work as part of a multidisciplinary pharmacy team,

collaborating closely with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy

Assistants to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The role offers the opportunity to gain experience across a

range of pharmacy services and functions, providing a broad understanding of

hospital pharmacy operations.

Applicants must be able to work accurately and efficiently,

demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and adapt to a variety of tasks

within a busy working environment. Flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to

meet deadlines are essential to the successful delivery of the service.

Duties are varied and may include

Picking, packing and assembling medicines in stock distribution.

Pharmacy stores receiving and processing orders.

Manning the reception within the dispensary, speaking to both staff and patients and dealing with queries.

Supplying medicines to wards and departments by means of a top-up.

Picking intravenous fluids

Duties within our sterile preparation suites.

Delivery of medication to wards and departments.

Replenishing specialist emergency boxes

Participate in established Bank Holiday and Weekend Rotas until the introduction of 7 day working when contracted hours will be undertaken over 7 days.

Part Time hours will be paid pro-rata.

Desirable

  • -Customer Service Qualification and or Pharmacy Counter Assistant qualification

Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience of working as part of a team
  • Experience in applying attention to detail and producing work to the required standard.
  • Working to deadlines
  • Previous experience in a customer service or patient care setting
  • Experience of using different computer software

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working as a pharmacy assistant or counter assistant in hospital or community pharmacy
  • Previous experience of receipt and controlling of stock
