As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Complete general dispensary duties and stock management
  • Be working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
  • Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings
  • Receive prescriptions and stick returns from wing based clinical areas
  • Collect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of return
  • Participate in dispensing of prescriptions.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at HMP Stocken a category C men's Prison located in count of Rutland.

Hours Monday - Friday: Between 7:30am - 5:30pm

Salary This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £29,723 per annum - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks

Qualifications required - NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards

  • Medicines handing experience desirable not essential
  • Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy
  • Ability to work within a busy environment
  • Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
