Job description

Duties will include receiving inpatient prescriptions, answering the phone and dispensary hatch, processing returned medicines, maintaining good stock levels in the dispensary, delivering medicines and other general house-keeping duties.

Please note this role will involve heavy lifting and it is essential that you work in accordance with SOPs, Health and Safety and adhere to the Trust waste management policy at all times, ensuring the working environment is kept clean and tidy.

Please note this post is subject to a probationary period of 6 months.

Qualifications

Essential

  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or be prepared to study and be assessed for NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services.

Desirable

  • Minimum of GCSE English, Mathematics and Science Grade C or above or new GCSEs grades 4 to 9 (or equivalent)

Other

Essential

  • Flexibility in working hours to suit the needs of the department
  • Demonstrates continued professional development or equivalent knowledge through experience
