Peripatetic Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead

As a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Barchester, you'll travel across your region to manage and develop the teams in various care homes, helping to deliver high quality care and service. You'll work closely with the General Manager or hiring manager to implement action plans ensuring residents' needs are met. In the absence of the General Manager, you'll take on leadership duties, handling everything from maintaining care standards to motivating your team. You'll inspire a multidisciplinary team to ensure every resident enjoys the best possible quality of life. You'll lead by example, monitor standards through audits, supervise clinical practice, and ensure regulatory compliance. You'll set the highest standards, utilizing your skills to develop and deliver strategies that will help achieve goals. Applicants must be Registered Nurses (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a qualification in teaching, mentoring, or supervision. Experience within a nursing home setting and continual professional development are essential.

ABOUT YOUTo join us as a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you'll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification. Previous experience of working within a nursing home setting is essential and evidence of continual professional development is also required. Experience in helping residents with different health needs is important too, as is a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. We'll also look for some HR experience, a strong knowledge of sales and marketing, an understanding of budget management, and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship. You'll be compassionate, resilient and determined to deliver quality care in our engaging and energetic environment. Finally, due to the nature of this role, you must be flexible and willing to travel.
