The Payroll Assistant role at Agincare involves working within a rapidly growing companys finance department to deliver efficient payroll services. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Payroll and will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for assigned payrolls, as well as supporting wider payroll projects. Key responsibilities include assisting with third-party reporting, responding to payroll queries, and maintaining payroll processes. Agincare looks for candidates who are detail-oriented, reliable, and have a collaborative mindset with strong Excel skills. Were now looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Assistant to join our busy finance department and help deliver accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll services. This post can be based from either our Head Office on Portland or in Poole in our patch office.

About the RoleReporting directly to the Head of Payroll, youll be responsible for processing your own payrolls from start to finish and supporting wider payroll projects. Youll work closely with senior payroll colleagues and contribute to the smooth running of payroll operations, ensuring deadlines are met and data is accurate.

  • End-to-end payroll processing for assigned payrolls
  • Support project-based work with senior payroll colleagues
  • Assist with third-party reporting including Nest, HMRC, Court Orders, and Office of National Statistics
  • Respond to payroll queries with accuracy and professionalism
  • Provide key payroll data as needed
  • Help maintain and improve payroll processes and documentation

Qualifications

Essential

  • Payroll experience is desirable but not essential. Strong Excel skills and confidence with IT systems are required.
