The position requires directing and booking patients towards appropriate healthcare professionals, scanning clinical documents, monitoring patient communication via emails, letters, navigating triage systems, other admin duties and to provide general assistance to the Practice team including covering sick days and holidays. You will be given full training and development opportunities.
- Greet and assist patients that come to the surgery.
- Answering appointment line, general enquiries and triage incoming calls.
- Sorting and distributing incoming mail via post and email.
- Scanning and filing patient documents on to their records.
- Processing prescription requests
- Entering patient data on medical system
- Monitoring and actioning triage requests which come in electronically
- Filing paper documents and keeping stock up to date.
- Keep updated on Protocol and Policies of the surgery.
- Work as a team to cover holidays, illness, training days
- 6 experienced GPs
- 12 dedicated administrators who keep everything running smoothly
- A diverse clinical team of 7, including clinical pharmacists, a first contact physiotherapist, GP assistant (GPA), practice nurse, healthcare assistant (HCA), child and adult mental health practitioner, social prescriber, and a health coach.

Experience
Essential
- Confident with IT and quick learner.
- Experience in Customer Service or face to face reception work.
- Excellent Team Player, good initiative and dedicated to role.
- Good attention to detail.
Desirable: - Experience within a GP practice is preferable but not necessary.
