The main duties for the role includes
- Dealing with telephone queries
- Typing clinical correspondence
- Managing referrals
- Inputting patient information onto our different systems and supporting the Haematology Team with general administrative duties.
- Liaising daily with colleagues including the immediate secretary team, senior and junior medical teams, management and other hospital departments.

Education, Training and Qualifications CPD Requirements:
Essential
- Good Standard of English GCSE or equivalent
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- To be able to demonstrate previous customer care experience
- IT literate to include Word and Excel
- Demonstrable recent knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures
Desirable
- Experience of working in a busy environment
- Telephone experience
- An understanding of the 18 week RTT process or Cancer Waiting Times.
Skills and Ability
Essential
- To be able to demonstrate proven accuracy and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload
- To be able to demonstrate the ability to work towards deadlines
- Demonstrable experience in light to physical effort in the movement of notes
Desirable
- Basic understanding of Haematology
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
