Paediatric Neurodevelopmental Clinical Nurse Specialist/Practitioner

Manage a specialist caseload of children and young people with ADHD, ASD, learning disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions. Independently prescribe and monitor ADHD medication in line with NICE guidance and local protocols. Deliver nurse-led clinics and support consultant-led clinics. Undertake clinical assessment, treatment planning and ongoing review.Provide behavioural management advice, sleep support and family education. Support neurodevelopmental assessment pathways and multidisciplinary triage processes.Act as a specialist resource for learning disability and neurodisability services across acute and community settings. Support the development of transition pathways for young people moving to adult services. Provide specialist advice, training and education to colleagues, families and partner organisations.Contribute to quality improvement, audit, research and service development initiatives.

There is a planned move for this service anticipated, when this role and base of work will relocate to Bournemouthsite. Upon relocation of the role/service, excess mileage allowance / reimbursement will not apply, and any travel between the postholder's home and work base will be classified as a commute. Any other changes unrelated to this, will be handled in line with Trust/National terms and conditions.
