Job description
We are excited to offer a fixed-term Band 5 Paediatric Dietitian maternity cover post. We are a small yet dedicated community paediatric dietetic team...
- The post holder will provide a high standard of evidence-based therapeutic care while working within a specific service area. They will be responsible for their own autonomous practice and ensure that effective patient care is maintained.
- To manage a mixed paediatric clinical caseload across a variety of clinical settings, delegating to Associate Practitioners and Dietetic Assistants where appropriate.
- To provide routine clinical interventions for a range of paediatric dietetic conditions, including allergies, nutritional support, complex feeding needs, enteral feeding, and nutritional deficiencies.
- To provide group education sessions as required.
- To provide supervision and support to students.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential
- A broad understanding of relevant policy, drivers and their application to clinical and service area
- An understanding of relevant clinical practice/standards within identified clinical area of dietetics
- A broad general knowledge of clinical dietetics
- BSc(Hons) Dietetics or PG Dip Dietetics
- Current professional registration with HCPC
Experience
Essential
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) e.g. developing specialist interests
Desirable
- Evidence of post-registration professional practice
Skills and Competencies
Essential
- Effective inter-personal skills
- Able to demonstrate effective communication skills
Desirable
- Ability to effectively commute between the organisations various sites
