An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Paediatric Nurse to join the London North West Hospital's NHS Trust Paediatric Dia...
The post holder will be required to manage a caseload of children and young people with diabetes from diagnosis to transition to adult services. Training and supervision will be provided within the role.
The post holder will be required to work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team and with school and other agencies to support child and family to safely manage diabetes in community settings.

Education/qualifications
Essential: - Registered nurse children; - degree in nursing; - evidence of ongoing professional development; - teaching course; - BLS certified
Desirable
- Post registration qualification in children and young peoples diabetes
- Course and/or experience in Quality Improvement Project
- Appraisal Training
- PILs training
Knowledge and experience
Essential
- Post registration experience within a paediatric unit managing diabetes
- Specialist knowledge of clinical procedures related to children's diabetes
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to build effective relationships
- experience teaching and supervising junior staff and students
- experienced in caseload management, risk management and prioritisation of patient caseload
Desirable: - nurse led clinics; - previous experience teaching children, young people, families and staff
